What is a volume profile?+
A volume profile shows how much traded at each price over a range or session, drawn sideways instead of over time. The price with the most volume is the point of control, and the value area is where most of the trading happened.
What is the difference between volume profile and TPO?+
A volume profile measures traded volume at each price. A TPO, or market profile, measures how much time price spent at each level. MMT ships both, including a native TPO chart.
Can I anchor profiles to custom sessions and ranges?+
Yes. Session profiles run on Daily, Weekly, Monthly, London, New York, Asia, and custom sessions, and the visible-range profile covers whatever you have on screen.
Does the profile use aggregated exchange data?+
Yes. Profiles are built from merged trade data across 20+ exchanges, with spot, futures, and coin perps toggles.
